Here at Everycare, we pride ourselves on the quality of our Care Staff.
This is mainly due to the extensive training that all our Care Staff undertake. They are trained in Minimal Handling, Emergency First Aid, Infection Control, Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and need to attend an "Introduction to Care" course.
In addition, all staff have a valid Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check and appropriate references are obtained and always verified.
Recruitment and vetting procedures comprise:
o A completed
application form identifying satisfactory employment history
o A Completed
health questionnaire
o 2 written
references – one from the most recent / previous employer
o 2
interviews – First by the registered manager, the second by a director of the business
o A
satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau and POVA check
o Full
induction training to include all mandatory training as outlined in the
National Minimum Standards
o Probationers
being shadowed by senior staff until they achieve the Everycare
level of excellence
o Employees
are issued with our own handbooks
o Regular
staff appraisals
o Continuous
further training (both in house and contracted out)
o All Care
Workers will have either already attained or be in the process of
attaining an NVQ II in Health and Social Care
